2006 Hong Kong Alumni Dinner

On Saturday 21 January 2006, over 100 alumni, graduands, students, staff and special guests celebrated the memory of renowned Scottish poet Robert Burns at the annual Hong Kong Alumni Association Dinner, held in the Hong Kong Football Club.

Stephen Ho, Honorary Life President of the Association, addressed the haggis, ably assisted by Douglas Sievewright, from the Napier Business School and both shared a dram with the piper. Following a fantastic meal, Stewart Saunders, Trustee of the Napier University Hong Kong Scholarship Trust, gave a warm and witty Toast to the Lassies, which was eloquently replied to by Principal and Vice-Chancellor.

The evening closed with a lucky draw and we must thank the companies and individuals who kindly provided the excellent prizes.

Numbers had to be capped this year because of the size of the venue, but plans are already underway for next year’s event - to ensure that no one is disappointed, pencil a note in your diary for January 2007.
